Jienna Basaldu has been the Sommelier at Ella Dining Room and Bar since 2013, and has been with Selland Family Restaurants since 2012. Jienna has a very diverse background with extensive experience in the Wine and Spirits industry. She has participated as a Guest Sommelier in such local community events as the Inaugural Farm to Fork Tower Bridge Dinner, and has sat on the judging panel of the California State Fair Wine Competition.

Jienna received a Business Degree from California State University, Chico, and proceeded to gain extensive product knowledge of Wine and Spirits while being an Account Manager for the largest distributor of wine in the nation. Jienna has acquired her wine service skill set through numerous fine dining establishments including Michelin-rated restaurant Chez TJ. Jienna is a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers, as well as a Certified Specialist of Wine by the Society of Wine Educators.

Jienna enjoys, and has an appreciation for, all styles of wine. She finds nothing more gratifying then finding the perfect wine to satisfy a guest’s palate and making the dining experience at Ella complete, seemless, and unforgettable.
